Horizon

About Horizon

AI news with receipts — who reported it, how independently, and whether claims come with evidence.

Who publishes it

Horizon is published by The Alchemy Lab LLC, an independent software studio. It carries no advertising and no sponsored stories; it is paid for by subscriptions.

Where the stories come from

Horizon reads, every day:

  • Hacker News, Reddit, Lobsters, Bluesky and X
  • AI labs' own blogs, arXiv, Hugging Face and ModelScope
  • technology press in the US, Europe, China, Korea and Japan (non-English articles are translated)
  • legislative records: the US Congress, US state legislatures, the UK Parliament and the EU

Every story links the article or post it comes from and names its outlet. The daily briefing's summaries are written by an AI model from those sources, and each story carries labels: who reported it, how independently, and whether its claims come with evidence. The labels describe the evidence; Horizon does not judge whether a claim is true. How stories are selected and labelled is set out in the methodology.

Corrections

When a briefing gets something wrong, we correct the published edition. Use “Report a problem” under any story, or write to us.
